West Sound Workforce is assisting a Poulsbo-based furniture manufacturer focused on sustainability, environmentalism, and using locally sourced products in hiring entry-level Assemblers to join their Production team. This is a long-standing company that believes there is dignity in building with your hands and strives to create functional and soulful designs that meet their customers' needs.
As an Assembler you will be responsible for using a variety of hand and power tools to prep, build, assemble, and inspect products according to manufacturing standards. If you are a good communicator, are dependable, and are looking for a company who truly values your hard work and dedication, this entry-level position is perfect for you!
What you will do as an entry-level Assembler:
- Drill, grind, and cut metal and steel using tools and machinery
- Attach hardware items to products
- Examine finished products to ensure quality standards
- Use hand trucks and pallet jacks to load products for shipment
- Follow safety standards and maintain a clean and organized workspace
What we are looking for:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions
- Ability to work as a team
- A desire and willingness to learn
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift/maneuver up to 50lbs on a frequent basis
