West Sound Workforce is assisting a dynamic nonprofit arts and events organization in Port Angeles in their search for dependable Banquet Support Staff. This vibrant waterfront event venue serves as a hub for creativity and connection; home to a 500-seat performing arts theater and a modern conference and banquet center. With a mission to bring people together through arts and events, this organization plays a vital role in enriching cultural, educational, and economic experiences throughout the region.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Banquet Support team members help bring performances, conferences, receptions, and community gatherings to life. Whether supporting event setup and teardown, providing banquet service, assisting behind the scenes in the kitchen, or helping with dishwashing, team members are expected to be friendly, flexible, and responsive. Professionalism in both appearance and attitude is essential; we’re looking for individuals who take pride in their work, bring a strong service mindset, and thrive in fast-paced, guest-facing roles.

Shift information:
  • Shifts vary based on event schedule
  • Day, evening, and weekend shifts available
Available Roles:
  • Banquet & Event Support
    Assist with food and beverage service during events, including buffet service and limited menu offerings. Responsibilities may include setting and clearing tables, restocking stations, supporting setup/cleanup, and maintaining guest areas. Ideal for those with bussing, food running, or general event support experience.
  • Service Staff & Bartenders
    Provide full-service food and alcohol service during receptions and events. Take guest orders, perform tray service, serve from limited or full menus, and ensure responsible alcohol service. Ideal for experienced servers and bartenders with strong customer service skills and professional presence.
  • Dishwashers & Stewards
    Support kitchen and service teams by operating commercial dishwashers, cleaning and organizing kitchenware and service items, managing waste and recycling, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
  • Kitchen Prep & Support
    Assist with basic food prep, support line cooks, receive and store deliveries, and help maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
What we are looking for:
  • Professional appearance; black slacks, black long-sleeved button-down shirt, and black shoes required
  • Current Washington State Food Handler’s Card required; MAST permit required for front-of-house roles
  • Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
  • Experience in food service, events, or dishwashing preferred but not required
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and perform tasks such as lifting up to 35 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 75 lbs, bending, and repetitive hand movements

Additional Information
