Job Description
West Sound Workforce is assisting Metagenics, a Gig Harbor based manufacturer of high-quality, science-based vitamins and supplements in sourcing a reliable Certified Medical Assistant to join their team. Dedicated to providing effective nutritional products for healthcare professionals, this organization has been redefining what it means to be healthy for over 30 years.
Reporting to the Clinic Office Manager, this position will perform both front and back-office duties to keep the daily office flow moving. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a friendly disposition and a high level of professionalism.
In addition to reception duties, this position will be responsible for working directly with clinic staff to collect samples, draw blood, and give injections; therefore, a medical assistant-phlebotomy certification is required.
What you will do as Certified Medical Assistant:
- Update and maintain all client records
- Clean, prepare and stock examination rooms
- Assist the medical staff and office manager in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new products as needed
- Escort patients to exam rooms, measure vital signs, and document information within EHR
What we are looking for:
- Associate's or technical degree required; equivalent experience may be considered
- Minimum 2 years experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Certification to draw blood, either through MA or phlebotomy certification
- Proficiency with computers including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and HER (Cerbo preferred)
