Commercial Porter
Job Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Commercial Porter will perform minor repairs, assist with property upkeep, and ensure outdoor areas remain clean and hazard-free. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in keeping commercial spaces well-maintained and welcoming.
Shift information:
- Full-time schedule with flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed
- Perform minor repairs, including changing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and addressing basic plumbing issues
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas, including parking lots, walkways, and entrances
- Assist the maintenance team with painting touch-ups, minor landscaping, and equipment assembly
- Monitor landscaping and irrigation systems, reporting issues to the appropriate team
- Provide courteous customer service when interacting with tenants, coworkers, and the public
- Previous experience in commercial property maintenance, janitorial services, or a related field preferred
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and remain on feet for extended periods
- Reliable transportation for travel within the service area
