Construction Superintendent – Federal
Job Description
Reporting to company leadership, the Construction Superintendent will oversee the day-to-day, on-site execution of federal construction projects, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and federal regulations. This role manages subcontractors and field crews, coordinates manpower, materials, and equipment, and prioritizes safety, environmental compliance, cost control, and productivity to deliver successful project outcomes.
Shift information:
- Monday – Friday, Full Time
- Lead and oversee all on-site construction activities, including pre-construction coordination, daily planning, and supervision of field personnel, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient use of resources
- Ensure construction work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, permits, and applicable local, state, and federal codes and regulations
- Maintain a safe jobsite by enforcing company safety policies and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, USACE EM 385-1-1, and other applicable federal safety standards
- Review, maintain, and update construction schedules to ensure milestones and project completion dates are met
- Manage jobsite documentation, including daily reports, safety records, timekeeping, change orders, and closeout documentation to support accurate job costing and regulatory compliance
- Oversee the care, utilization, and return of company-owned and rented equipment, and review subcontractor and supplier invoices for accuracy and discrepancies
- Minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience, including at least five (5) years serving as a Construction Superintendent on projects similar in size and complexity
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven experience providing on-site leadership for field teams, with strong knowledge of site preparation, excavation, scheduling, and construction cost control
- Working knowledge of USACE EM 385-1-1, with demonstrated experience in hazard identification and jobsite safety compliance
- Ability to read, interpret, and execute construction drawings and critical path schedules
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills; able to manage multiple demands while remaining detail-oriented and adaptable
- Valid Washington State driver’s license required
- 11 paid holidays + 2 personal days

Compensation & Compliance:This position is subject to Davis-Bacon wage requirements. All wages, overtime, and benefits will be provided in accordance with federal regulations.
