Market Associate
Job Description
Reporting to the Market Manager, the Market Associate will work directly with volunteers, clients, and donors to ensure the Market runs smoothly, safely, and in alignment with the organization’s mission and values. This role is ideal for an organized, community-minded team player who wants to make a meaningful impact in a retail or food bank environment.
Shift information:
- Tuesday – Saturday 9 am – 5:30 pm
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Market environment
- Train, support, and collaborate with volunteers, clients, and donors
- Check in/out shoppers and assist with inventory, including receiving, sorting, stocking, and tracking food donations
- Support grocery rescue, home deliveries, food drives, and serve as a backup driver when needed
- Follow health and safety protocols and provide friendly donor acknowledgment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
- Valid WA driver’s license and safe driving record
- Bilingual candidates and prior food bank, retail, or similar experience are a plus
- Food Handler’s Certification preferred but not required

Additional Information
