Limited Practice Officer (LPO)
Job Description
Reporting to the Office Manager, the LPO will manage the full title and escrow process for real estate transactions, including reviewing purchase agreements, clearing title issues, preparing closing documents, and coordinating fund disbursement. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of real estate closings, escrow procedures, and title documentation. Shift information:
- Monday-Friday 8a-5pm
- Onsite
- Manage the title and escrow process for real estate closings, including reviewing contracts, clearing title issues, and preparing title insurance documents
- Establish and maintain escrow accounts, ensuring accurate deposits, receipts, disbursements, and recordkeeping
- Facilitate smooth closings by coordinating signing appointments, explaining documents to buyers, sellers, and agents, and confirming completion of required items
- Prepare, review, and submit funding packages to lenders; coordinate wire transfers and confirm transaction balances
- Maintain compliance with real estate laws, regulatory requirements, and company standards, overseeing post-closing file preparation and storage
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with agents, lenders, builders, and clients through clear communication and reliable service
- Active Limited Practice Officer (LPO) license preferred, or at least 3 years of experience as an Escrow Closer
- Strong understanding of title and escrow processes, including title vesting, community property laws, and real estate contract principles
- Familiarity with homestead laws, trusts, and related legal documentation
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal and financial information
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple transactions accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
