West Sound Workforce is assisting a well-established nonprofit organization in Bremerton, WA, in recruiting an experienced and compassionate Director for their Infant and Toddler Program (ITP). For over 60 years, this organization has provided essential services and specialized support for children and adults with disabilities across Kitsap and Mason counties. In this impactful role, the Infant and Toddler Program Director will oversee the operations and strategic planning of the organization’s birth-to-three services. As a member of the executive leadership team, you will lead a skilled, interdisciplinary staff committed to delivering family-centered support. This role involves supervising all aspects of service delivery, staff management, and administrative functions, with a focus on maintaining high-quality, inclusive services. Additionally, as the primary contact for the Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) contract, the ITP Director will be instrumental in community partnership-building and in furthering the organization’s mission of supporting children’s development and family well-being.

What you will do as ITP Director:
  • Drive the strategic planning and vision for the Infant and Toddler Program, aligning goals with the organization’s mission. Collaborate with executive leadership on budgeting, resource allocation, and long-term planning
  • Oversee recruitment, coaching, and development of a dedicated team, ensuring high-quality services that meet Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) standards. Promote a supportive work culture that encourages professional growth
  • Lead regular staff meetings and case conferences to maintain program excellence and regulatory compliance. Manage program audits and evaluate outcomes to support continuous improvement
  • Manage program budgets and funding streams, ensuring financial responsibility. Work with finance and operations teams for efficient billing, data management, and grant support
  • Represent the program in community forums, advocate for early support services, and build relationships with local providers, including Naval Hospital Bremerton, to expand community impact
  • Oversee ESIT provider functions and manage key contracts, including services with the Medical Director/Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician. Attend relevant meetings to strengthen partnerships and streamline services
What we are looking for:
  • Advanced degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field preferred; or equivalent experience with four or more years of nonprofit program leadership. Five or more years in disability services, preferably birth-to-three early intervention services 
  • Deep understanding of child development; licensed clinical experience is a plus. Familiarity with IDEA Part C and Part B regulations is essential. Proven ability to lead diverse teams, build partnerships, and foster collaboration within the community. Experience in community development and MOUs is an asset
  • Track record of identifying growth opportunities and creating innovative strategies for expanding program reach and impact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with a talent for building relationships across varied audiences, including families, partners, and community stakeholders
  • Passionate about advancing a dynamic, family-centered program with integrity and dedication to supporting children and families
