Field Survey Crew
Job Description
Reporting to a Licensed Surveyor, the Field Survey Crew member will assist with collecting field data, operating survey equipment, and performing hands-on support in the field. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, values accuracy, and is looking to build a career in the land surveying or civil engineering field. Shift information:
- Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
- Hours are project-dependent and may vary based on workload and site activity
- Support boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys by collecting accurate field data alongside a licensed surveyor
- Load, transport, set up, and break down survey equipment at job sites, including GPS units, total stations, tripods, and stakes
- Clear brush and debris as needed to create lines of sight, and place markers or monuments in a variety of terrain
- Record measurements and observations using field notes, sketches, and data collectors to ensure precise documentation
- Contribute to a safe, productive team environment while working outdoors in changing weather and physical conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or training in surveying, civil engineering, or construction is a plus
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and terrain, with the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physically active tasks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when recording field measurements and observations
- Good communication skills, a team-oriented attitude, and the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced field setting
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
