Maintenance Assistant
Job Description
As a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the facility remains in top shape, providing a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. You’ll work alongside the operations and maintenance teams, tackling diverse tasks in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. From routine maintenance to quick repairs, your well-rounded skills will help keep the facility running smoothly and efficiently.

Shift information:
- Schedules vary, full and part time hours depending on needs
- 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7am-9pm
- Inspect the property and building to identify necessary repairs or updates
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs
- Assist with grounds maintenance tasks
- Assist with painting and hanging drywall as needed
- Keep maintenance logs
- At least 1 year of recent building experience
- Knowledge of the function and operation of hand/power tools related to maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing concepts and procedures
- Knowledge of the standard methods for internal/external painting, and of the use of related tools/equipment
- Ability to understand and follow routine verbal or written instructions
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
