Maintenance Lead
Job Description
Reporting to the Regional Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations, including routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance for several single-family and small multifamily properties. The role involves managing a maintenance team, coordinating with vendors for specialized repairs, and ensuring that work orders are completed promptly.
Shift information:
- Full-time schedule with on-call after-hours emergency duties as needed
- Oversee routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance for multiple properties, including diagnosing and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate specialized repairs (roofing, HVAC, pest control, etc.)
- Lead the maintenance team, schedule daily tasks, and ensure work orders are completed on time
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize costly repairs
- Monitor the maintenance budget, purchase supplies, and manage costs effectively
- Strong experience in building maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs
- Proven ability to lead and manage a maintenance team while overseeing multiple properties
- Experience managing budgets and controlling costs related to property maintenance
- Knowledge of property management software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle emergency situations efficiently
