West Sound Workforce is seeking Marine Installers to work with a Tacoma based boat builder who specializes in designing highly reliable and extremely durable vessels for military, law enforcement, and rescue operations across the globe.

Supporting the integration department's efficiency and safety standards, this position will be responsible for the installation of electrical and mechanical components on vessels. For these positions, successful candidates will have mechanical aptitude, are comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, and have a keen attention to detail.

The following position levels are available:
Marine Installer I and II - $21-$25/hr
Marine Installer III - $26-$30/hr

What you will do as a Marine Installer:

  • Install outboard motors, diesel engines, and jet drives
  • Install fuel systems and filters
  • Fabricate and install main and auxiliary wiring harnesses
  • Install a variety of components including lights, radios, radar, sonar, HVAC, GPS, etc.

What we are looking for:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year previous experience in a related field
  • Thorough understanding of 12V dc electrical systems
  • Basic automotive mechanical skills
  • Basic math and measurement capabilities
  • Critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and good physical stamina

Additional Information
