Medical Billing Specialist
Job Description
Within this temporary role you will play a key role in helping the billing department get caught up by rebilling aged accounts and appealing denials if necessary to get the clinic’s accounts receivables down to manageable size. Your great customer service skills and collections expertise are needed!
Shift Information:
- Part time
- Monday, Tuesday, and Friday
- 8am-4pm
- Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies
- Ensure the patient's medical information is accurate and up to date
- Monitor and record late payments
- Follow up on missed payments and resolve financial discrepancies
- Investigate and appeal denied claims
- Minimum of 3 years previous experience billing experience including commercial and Medicaid entities
- Solid understanding of billing software (Medisoft is a plus) and electronic medical records
- Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities
