Behavioral Technician Trainee

As a Behavior Technician Trainee, you’ll work directly with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support children with autism and other developmental disabilities. You’ll help implement individualized behavior plans, track progress, and document outcomes, while collaborating with families and your team to ensure high-quality care. This is a hands-on role and an excellent opportunity for those pursuing a career in behavioral health, with guidance and support provided throughout the certification process.
Shift information:
- Part-time 32 hours/week
- Monday-Friday
- Provide 1:1 support to children during sessions, following behavior plans under BCBA guidance
- Track and document client progress accurately while maintaining confidentiality (HIPAA
- Encourage independence by supporting daily living skills through positive reinforcement
- Collaborate with families, educators, and team members to ensure well-rounded support
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for every client
- Experience working with children or individuals with autism or other developmental needs
- Understanding of confidentiality and a commitment to protecting client privacy
- Strong observational and patient care skills with empathy and patience
- Familiarity with behavioral health or special education practices
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work well with others
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Washington State–mandated 40-hour CBT training course (prior to working with clients and within 30 days of hire)
- CPR/First Aid certification (company provided)
- Food Handler’s Permit (within 15 days of hire)
- Monthly healthcare stipend
