Operations Manager
Job Description
As the Operations Manager, you will play a key leadership role, overseeing both office and warehouse operations to ensure everything runs efficiently and securely. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards in quality, safety, and performance, while driving the team to meet productivity targets and control costs. Your ability to manage daily operations while keeping an eye on long-term company objectives will be crucial to the continued success and growth of the business.
Shift Information:
- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
- Oversee and coordinate all traffic operations related to inbound and outbound warehouse movements, ensuring efficient service levels while minimizing costs
- Develop, implement, and maintain warehouse policies and programs that align with cost control, service objectives, and customer needs. Recommend improvements to optimize warehouse and transportation functions
- Forecast, analyze, and manage costs, equipment availability, and service levels, providing recommendations and initiating corrective actions as needed
- Establish and monitor KPIs to drive performance in key areas such as on-time and in-full delivery, transportation efficiency, warehouse inventory management, productivity, quality, and workforce planning
- Lead and guide staff to align with strategic customer service objectives, while working closely with facility management to enhance team skills, competencies, and performance. Set clear goals to drive team success
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related business field from an accredited institution; or a combination of relevant education and 5+ years of direct experience in a similar industry
- Strong working knowledge of transportation and warehouse regulations
- Proficiency in industry-standard applications for transportation and warehousing (WMS)
- Proven track record in managing resources, systems, and personnel to meet organizational goals
- Expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and building vendor strategies through KPIs, audits, and flawless execution
