A global manufacturer of nutraceuticals is seeking a Quality Control Microbiologist. This company is passionate about utilizing science-based nutrition to address health and chronic illness and works with practitioners to improve individuals' health.

Most of the daily work for this position is spent with a small team in the micro lab where you will help ensure the safety of the products going out the door. This position is great for those who love to work independently while contributing to the big picture!

What you'll need:

  • BS in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field, plus 2-4 years of related experience
  • Familiarity with how QA/QC fits into the manufacturing process as well as microbiology lab procedures and lab equipment
  • Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to interpret test results
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office software and experience with general or proprietary lab, manufacturing, and/or purchasing databases

What you'll do:

  • Determine the tests to be performed on each raw material or product as it's received in the lab and prepare, culture, and examine samples for microbiological testing
  • Interpret and document test results
  • Media and reagent preparation, QC, and storage
  • Perform environmental monitoring of the manufacturing facility
  • Recognize and initiate OOS/Lab Failure documentation
  • Prepare reports and organize and maintain data files and logbooks
