Safety Attendants
Job Description
West Sound Workforce is assisting one of Jefferson County's largest employers in seeking temporary confined space Safety Watch attendants for an upcoming ten-day maintenance project. Celebrating 90 years of continuous operation, this company has built a strong and loyal customer base by specializing in producing and manufacturing a variety of Kraft pulp products through sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.
Reporting to the Safety Manager, Attendants will be responsible for monitoring their confined space area, ensuring only authorized entrants, and reporting any unsafe or emergency situations. No heavy lifting required, and thorough training will be provided. Sure, it's not glamorous work, but if you're attentive, can take proper notes, and have the stamina to sit/stand for long periods of time this is a great way to make some good money in a short amount of time.
These positions will work ten 12-hour shifts - hello overtime! Day and overnight shifts available. Don’t wait! Apply today!
Shift Information:
- Day and overnight shifts
- 5am-5pm or 5pm-5am
- Keep detailed records of activities, including personnel entry and exit, air test results, etc. of the confined space
- Monitor those who enter and exit the space
- Monitor environmental conditions in the confined space before, during, and after entry
- Request assistance in case of an emergency
- Safety-oriented attitude
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Reliable attendance
- Comfort within an industrial environment
Additional Information
