Tax Accountant
Job Description
As a Tax Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring clients file taxes accurately and maximize their returns, all while adhering to regulatory standards. In this role, you’ll assist clients in gathering necessary forms, managing documentation, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and delivering insightful tax reports. Success here hinges on a detail-oriented mindset, an organized approach, and a strong foundation in tax regulations. You’ll also bring valuable insights on best practices, recommending strategies to optimize tax processes while maintaining strict compliance.
Shift information
- Onsite
- Prepare income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
- Research current and emerging tax regulations to ensure compliance
- Communicate effectively with clients on bookkeeping, tax returns, and related matters
- Manage client relationships, collaborating with team members to provide exceptional service
- Support tax planning and consulting efforts to identify strategic opportunities for clients
- CPA or EA preferred, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in business tax preparation
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively, especially during tax season
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency with tax software (CCH Axcess, Tax and Engagement) and QuickBooks is a plus
- Experience preparing reviewed or compiled financial statements is desirable
