Temporary Safety Attendants
Job Description
West Sound Workforce is partnering with one of Jefferson County's largest employers to hire temporary Confined Space Safety Watch Attendants for a ten-day maintenance project in early November. This well-established company, with 90 years of continuous operation, is a leader in producing environmentally responsible Kraft pulp products.
As a Safety Watch Attendant, you’ll report to the Safety Manager and be responsible for monitoring a confined space, ensuring only authorized personnel enter, and reporting any safety concerns. There’s no heavy lifting, and full training is provided. While it may not be the most exciting job, if you are detail-oriented, can take notes, and don’t mind sitting or standing for long periods, this is an easy way to make solid money in a short amount of time.

What you will do as a Safety Attendant:
- Keep detailed records of activities, including personnel entry and exit, air test results, etc. of the confined space
- Monitor those who enter and exit the space
- Monitor environmental conditions in the confined space before, during, and after entry
- Request assistance in case of an emergency
- Safety-oriented attitude
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Reliable attendance
- Comfort within an industrial environment
