Job Description
West Sound Workforce is partnering with a respected national company that provides trusted transportation solutions in hiring Toll Collectors to work at the Narrows Toll Plaza in Gig Harbor. Known for delivering accurate, reliable tolling operations and efficient processes, this company takes pride in serving communities with excellence.
As a Toll Collector, you will work solo in a booth, managing toll revenue by collecting, recording, reporting, and depositing funds. With thousands of travelers passing through daily, your cash handling skills and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service will be key to success.
This company is on a mission to improve connectivity and transportation systems nationwide. If you have strong basic math skills, are seeking a part-time role, and can commit to a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays, you will thrive in this position.
Shift information:
- Part time
- Schedules vary, including weekends and holidays
- Day, afternoon, and overnight shifts
- Set up and open the toll booth, including the cash register
- Collect toll fees, provide change, and assist with directions or road information
- Report accidents, hazardous road conditions, and toll fee violations
- Close the booth, cash out the register, and secure the area at the end of the shift
- Previous experience in retail, banking, or similar roles (preferred, but not required)
- Strong cash handling skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive, friendly demeanor
- Effective communication skills
Additional Information
